Here is the South Carolina Archives database search engine link that
includes land grants and other materials available at this time:
http://www.archivesindex.sc.gov/search/default.asp
Simply type in your ancestors name and a list will come up of documents
that you may want to order. You may want to try using just the surname
and variations on the spelling of it in order to cover all bases. Some other
ancestors may appear to surprise one.
