North Carolina Archive On-Line

The link below takes you to the NC State Archives Digitization Program. In order to access the site, you will need the free DjVu 3.0 from Lizardtech.

Most of the Archive digitized records are not visible, even with the viewer, but you have to have the viewer to see what is there, including their cross-references and indexes, so it's worth downloading the plug-in.

I believe requested information can be sent to the Archives in an online mail form.

This is the big step I'm hoping all state archives will soon take---and even futher, when the records themselves may one day be available online!
